Tobi Oluwayemi is expected to go out on loan when the January transfer window opens.

The keeper shared duties in the Lowland League last season with Ryan Mullen but has been first pick this term including Tuesday’s SPFL Trust Trophy defeat from Dunfermline.

Meaningful game time in the senior game is essential for his development with an international aspect as The Sun reports:

CELTIC keeper Tobi Oluwayemi is a man in demand ahead of an expected England under-20 World Cup call.

The highly-rated goalie has been a standout for the Hoops in the Uefa Youth League and Lowland League.

SunSport can reveal a host of clubs are now keen to land the promising 19-year-old on loan for the second half of the season and have made enquiries.

England have already qualified for the May 2023 World Cup in Indonesia and Oluwayemi looks almost certain to make the squad.

He has been a regular throughout the age groups so far in his career and he will be looking to boost his chances of being No1 with first-team football, with Celtic now set to consider loan options for the keeper.

Finding first team football for a goalkeeper is a difficult task, in recent seasons Celtic have sent Ross Doohan to Ayr United, getting involved with a Championship or League One side will be the target.

If the loan works out well it should be followed up by another loan deal for next season to get the young keeper match hardened and ready to be a genuine first team contender for the 24/25 season.

With Ben Siegrist and Scott Bain at the club Postecoglou has two experienced back up options to Joe Hart who is under contract until May 2024.
