Ibrox fans were screaming for the sacking of Giovanni van Bronckhorst following the 2-1 defeat away to St Johnstone today.
“There is no excuses,” the Ibrox boss admitted on Sky Sports as loyal bears poured their anger across social media.
The result leaves Celtic seven points clear at the top of the SPFL Premiership with the away fans at today’s match booing their heroes off the park at half time and also the final whistle.
With eight defeats since the start of September there are now serious doubts over whether van Bronckhorst will survive through to the World Cup break.
Although St Johnstone have never beaten the Ibrox Tribute Act on home soil they did win a Scottish Cup tie at Ibrox 19 months ago and have three trophy wins to their name to the two picked up over the decade since Charles Green’s dream came true away to Brechin City.

That’s us thrown any chance at the title away. Was willing to give Gio a chance to try and hold out until the end of the season, so long as it remained close, but with 17+ shots, 20+ corners and 70%+ of possession and still losing to St. Johnstone, there’s no other option.

We can’t afford to, that’s why they’ll stay. We also can’t afford to get a real manager in as we can’t afford to pay compensation to his current team.
