Kenny Miller is being linked with taking up a coaching role at Huddersfield Town.

The former Scotland striker has had brief stints in charge of Livingston and Falkirk but appears to be the man to lift Huddersfield Town from the foot of the Championship.

Miller is currently the most in-demand pundit in the business with regular appearances on Sky Sports, Radio Scotland, BT Sport and Radio Clyde as well as a column for the Daily Record. It is fair to say that he is well connected in the media.

Glasgow Live reports:

The former Celtic and Rangers striker had a short spell in charge at Livingston and has also coached at the likes of Newcastle Jets and Western Sydney Wanderers in Australia’s A-League and he also spent some time in Scottish League One with Falkirk.

He went into the Bairns as Assistant Head Coach and had a short-spell in interim charge after Martin Rennie’s exit.

Now the Daily Record report that he could be set for a role in the English Championship with boss Mark Fotheringham looking to add the former Scotland striker to his set up.

They currently sit bottom of England’s second tier – four points from safety after 20 games. Ex-Celtic man Fotheringham was appointed back in September on a deal until 2025.

Yep. I’m sure that’s exactly what Huddersfield needs; a face like a well skelped arse who talks shite in an impenetrable Embra accent and like all huns knows fuck all about football.

    What could POSSIBLY go wrong?

Good if it means getting this hun cheerleader who is everywhere away to f*ck

The media only clamour to get this clown on because they know he will give a staunchly pro-Sevco view on anything he’s asked about. It’s not for his deep knowledge of the game or tactical insights, as he doesn’t have any. His short-lived managerial calamity showed that. I

can only imagine Huddersfield know they’re going down to League 1 and see this as more Miller’s level. Or maybe they don’t realise you can get Sportscene in England via iPlayer. I’m sure a quick view of him spouting his inane and occasionally batshit crazy nonsense on there would have been enough for them to look elsewhere. Is Murty doing anything other than chewing his jacket zip just now?

The media only clamour for him because they know he will always give a staunch, true blue Sevco view on any given subject. It’s not for his deep knowledge of the game, or his visionary tactical insights. He doesn’t have any, as his brief, calamitous record in management will testify.

I can only assume that Huddersfield know they are heading to League 1 and have set their sights at that level. Or that they don’t know Sportscene is available in England via iPlayer. A quick view at Miller spouting his inane and occasionally batshit crazy, tinfoil hat-wearer nonsense on there would quickly have them looking elsewhere. Other than chewing a jacket zip somewhere, what’s Murty doing these days?
