Stephen Robinson has claimed that Ethan Erhahon sshould be playing for Celtic.

The St Mirren boss was discussing his side’s 1-1 draw against Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side with the scoreline reflecting the difference between the two teams. Very little.

Erhahon plays in central midfield, starting all 15 of St Mirren’s SPFL matches this season without scoring a goal. At the age of 21 he is in his third season as a regular with 77 SPFL matches to his name.

The Scotsman reports:

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson was understandably a pleased man after the draw. He gushed about his team but reserved the best praise for one midfielder in particular. “Ethan Erhahon,” he said, “he should be playing for Rangers or Celtic. I tell you that boy is a player.” He then went on to also hail his engine room partner-in-crime Mark O’Hara. They certainly shone against their Rangers adversaries in this match.

Celtic have been linked with an interest in Aberdeen’s Connor Barron but it is a stretch to see how they could handle the step up to playing for Celtic.

We Never Stop applies to the transfer market as much as the training ground or on the pitch as far as Ange Postecoglou is concerned with plans for the January transfer window well advanced.

Ben Siegrist is the only Scottish based signing that Postecoglou has made for Celtic with the goalkeeper only making two League Cup appearances since his summer switch from Dundee United.
