Ghana were denied a clear penalty in the 79th minute of their draw with England.
After beating Croatia it was assumed that Tomas Tuchil’s side had won the trophy ahead of the final on July 19.
All was happy and glorious as the England support turned Boston into their base camp.
In recognition of the visitors the highly popular Dubliner bar in the city centre gave their staff a day off rather than listen to boring songs from obnoxious guests in the city.
A heavy win was anticipated for England but the first half remained goal-less.
Harry Kane, Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham and all of the so-called superstars were unable to make an impression on the Africans.
Ghana were comfortable throughout. Their breakaways exposed how fragile the England defence was. How could they be anything else with the erratic Jordan Pickford in goals?
I’ve watched nearly every match of this WC and can say to a reasonable degree of certainty that the refs have been consistently biased against the underdog.
I’ve especially noticed an anti-Africa bias.

In the 79th minute Ghana had good cause to question the match officials who were from Honduras.
LUCKY ENGLAND GET OFF WITH ONE
Prince Kwabena broke purposefully towards Pickford’s goal with the England defence burst open.
As he prepared to shoot Ezri Konsa launched a desperate attack on his opponent. Flying through the air the Aston Villa defender planted his right leg across Kwabena just as he was shooting.
Kwabena was felled, the ball went past Pickford, Kwabena managed to get a shot in but it struck a team-mate in front of goal.
It was as clear a penalty as you’ll see. The referee saw it and opted out. His assistant decided against raising his flag. Shamefully VAR took no action.
Bizarrely the match restarted with a free kick to England. Pickford wasn’t asking any questions.
England pushed to take advantage of that late reprieve. They forced some late corners but justice was done. They didn’t get three points.
Despite being denied a penalty Ghana look certain to progress with four points.
They should have had the opportunity to take three points with a penalty but as usual England carry an unusual amount of luck in international competitions.
Questions are now being asked about Tuchil and his reliance of the goals of Kane.
One critic even claimed that Tuchil was Danny Rohl without a wig.

A clear penalty and a few other dubious decisions went England’s way. Ghana were robbed.
Special Agent Tuchel has got off to an earlier than expected start on his sabotage effort – I had anticipated them losing in the semi-finals….. on penalties, natch.
