The Celtic Collective had turned their spotlight on Brian Unity Wilson.
Since the turn of the year the former Labour MP has been Interim Chairman with no word on when Peter Lawwell’s successor will be appointed.
There is a very limited circle of candidates prepared to be Chairman of a club that is effectively run by a long distance shareholder.
After 20 years on the gravy train Wilson knows the script.
How to patronise supporters in order to extract maximum income for minimal effort.
Wilson met with the Celtic Fans Collective on February 18. He admitted that he had no decision making authority. Effectively he was the messenger to report back to higher authorities.
The meeting was simply a box ticking exercise.
Wilson didn’t know why or who took the decision to ban fan media from access to the club. He promised a follow up meeting within a month. The Collective haven’t heard from the Chairman since then.
The Celtic board cannot be allowed to continue to flagrantly mislead supporters. They must be held to account, and we will continue to ensure that happens.
When can supporters expect these commitments to be honoured?@celticfc @celticfcslo

The only regular comment that Wilson makes is to readers of The Scotsman. The fast shrinking Edinburgh based publisher provides him with a platform to share how much he detests the Scottish government. Not the smartest move for the Chairman of a PLC.
On Saturday readers got to learn of Wilson’s delight that the real Tories had won a by-election in Aberdeen. Largely down to tactical voting from Red Tories.
BRIAN WILSON- WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE CELTIC CHAIRMAN?
The comments highlighted by the Collective were from a ‘Supporters Update’ at the end of April.
On 30 April The Scotsman reported their own star columnist saying:
We intend to revive the fans forum, which was successful up to a point for those who attended them, but instead of having a static event in Celtic Park, what we intend to do is to take that out around the country and indeed to the wider Celtic supporter base so that we’ll take the fans forum to the fans rather than asking the fans to come to the fans forum. So there’s all of that going on.
We’re strengthening our digital offering all the time, more information in the first place you can get it is through the club itself, so it’s reliable information coming from the primary source. So lots of things are going on, and obviously the focus of the current time is getting to the end of the season in the best possible place, but everything we’ve talked about will be delivered.
Wilson added:
We’re looking at a refreshment of the board, which was talked about, and now Peter [Lawwell] has resigned, obviously Tom Allison retired, and so there is work to be done there, is being done there on the refreshment of the board. So everything we’ve talked about we’re working on delivering, and we will deliver.
It’s going to be a big summer, and everyone I hope and expect has learned lessons from some things which influence this season, and therefore everyone is up for that challenge, and the work is going on.
Seven weeks on Chairman Wilson has announced that last season’s Interim manager is next season’s permanent boss.
There was no mention of any backroom staff in the O’Neill announcement.
Nothing has been heard about the boardroom refreshment. As a politician Wilson might see a boardroom refreshment as changing seats. Getting away from Tom Allison.
After 25 years freeloading Allison is stepping down as a Director. He is a former Clydeport colleague of Peter Lawwell.
Any time Lawwell or Allison require a prawn sandwich they know where to go. Ian Bankier is a regular boardroom guest.
3 minutes 30 seconds for the refreshment promise followed by details of it being a big summer!
