After all their hard work since pre-season training started at the end of June the Celtic squad has enjoyed a trip to the seaside- hitting the sand on Bondi Beach.

Following 13 matches in the 43 days from October 1, including four Champions League nights, a flight to Australia followed by a match against Sydney FC there was a little downtime in the Friday diary with sunshine at the top of the wish lists.

After arriving in Sydney most of the players ticked off the tourist stuff with a trip to the quayside for pictures and videos with the Harbour Bridge and Opera House prominent.

Ange Postecoglou was far from happy after the defeat from Sydney but after giving so much to the club it would be an act of cruelty to take the players halfway round the world without enjoying some Aussie sunshine.

After enjoying some sunshine there are a few club events to attend, training on Saturday then a match against Everton on Sunday to keep the squad occupied.

In one month’s time Bondi will be a distant memory as the players get over a trip to Pittodrie and prepare for Livingston at home in the midweek before Christmas.

Joe McHugh has edited Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.
