Sky Sports has joined the Daily Mail in linking Chelsea with an interest in signing Josip Juranovic.
It could be conveniently putting the jigsaw pieces together following the injury to Reece James against Bournemouth yesterday but the Celtic defender would offer a ready made replacement for a defender that has already missed three months of the season through injury.
Juranovic is under contract with Celtic until May 2026 but for both the club and player there comes a tipping point where it is best to accept an offer and move on. The signing of Alistair Johnston from Montreal CF suggests that Celtic are prepared for that possibility.

On the back of an impressive World Cup with Croatia the stock of the Celtic defender has never been higher, alongside Luka Modric he looked perfectly at home in a side that accounted for Belgium, Brazil and Japan before coming up against an inspired Leo Messi in the semi-finals.
Juranovic is back in Scotland following a week at home in Croatia, he isn’t expected to be involved against Hibs tonight but should be in contention for Monday’s Glasgow derby at Ibrox.
UPDATE: Later on on Sky Sports reporter Mark McAdam said that Celtic were looking for over £20m for Juranovic.
