Ibrox fans, bloggers, podders and Barry Ferguson glowed with pride with one aspect in particular about Micky Beale’s introductory media conference.
It wasn’t the new attacking style of play, it wasn’t the imaginative use of bibs and cones in training or even the promises to restore every player to the form shown in the stunning Behind Closed Doors title win.
Derek Clark asked about Mister Beale wearing a suit in the dug-out, the answer had the specks of the man from The Rangers Reporter steaming up with excitement.
Not only would Micky be wearing a suit in the dug-out but the whole first team squad would be wearing smart club suits to emphasise their superiority over the scruffs turning up in tracksuits, shell-suits and other club issued tat.

It seems that Beale got carried away- the contract with Castore Sports requires the players to promote whatever garb the Marketing Manager feels is appropriate for that time of the year.
Ferguson has yet to comment on the snub with tradition, Beale wore a black donkey jacket in the dug-out without any sign of a collar and tie.
