There seems to be a media consensus that David Turnbull deserved his red card against Motherwell today, meaningless in the match but carrying a likely two match suspension.

The Celtic midfielder raised his boot high in stoppage time to reach a cross, coming out behind him was St Johnstone goalkeeper Remi Matthews.

After issuing a yellow card Mike Roncone on VAR suggested a review to which Kevin Clancy upgraded to a red card.

Not so strangely, the previous night a similarly dangerous challenge from James Tavernier went unpunished.

The Ross County forward had to take evasive action, captain Tav escaped punishment from an incident at 0-0, his side went on to win 1-0. Don Robertson refereed the match in Dingwall.

And the CHEATING continues this is what will chase Ange out of our club not another club coming to take him away from us.
He will at some point put his cards on the table and tell the club to grow a pair and call this out as it is or he WALKS,I will go for the latter as our board don’t have a bone in their body to call it out.
The thing is Liewell will get the blame for with excuses that Ange couldn’t work wuth him rather than the TRUTH be out there.
Watch this space don’t say I didn’t warn you all.

Sorry guys, but as a referee, the VAR got it right in this case.
Tavpen withdraws his leg and doesn’t hit the player. This is just dangerous play, which would be a yellow card. Not a penalty, because of advantage.
Where as Turnbull has a stretched leg. Although he isn’t aware of the goalie, this is considered excessive force, which is a red card all day long.
I hope I clear this up.
    Merry Christmas everyone. Hail hail.

Sorry, clearly dangerous play in the box therefore booking and penalty. Puts the attacking player backs off because he fears he will get a boot in the face. He didn’t actually do it, so penalty and booking.

But of course they didn’t get it because it was the Huns and it was Mr. Robertson.
We know that he is incompetent and now that he is biased towards the Huns!

    BuwharahellitsChrismas, eh!

On reflection, it should have been a Red Card and a penalty. It is because he denies the attacking player a “Clear Goal-Scoring Chance”. Who would put their head on a cross with a flying boot coming up!?
