Malik Tillman is disputing the SPFL table that records Celtic as the best team in the Premiership.

After 19 matches Ange Postecoglou’s side have recorded 18 wins, built up a nine point lead and established a goal difference advantage of plus 20.

It all seems quite emphatic but with a new manager guiding his club to four consecutive wins Tillman sees the things a bit differently.

On Monday the on loan Bayern Munich midfielder will get the opportunity to back up his words, speaking to the Daily Record he said:

We wanted to end the year positively with a win and we did that on Wednesday. We try to win every game and doing that in the last four after the break has been a good job. We have to keep looking forward and do the best we can.

If we reach our level we are one of the best teams in the league, or even the best team. Obviously, we’ll try to win that game and turn around things in the Old Firm and bring back three points.

Every game is important but this game is the biggest of the whole year. We are nine points behind and will try to close the gap. That’s why we need to win the game on Monday.

Over 90 minutes any team can beat any other but it is best to keep quiet when a nine point gap is opened up after just 19 matches.

Tillman lasted 60 minutes of the September Glasgow derby with that 4-0 defeat tipping Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side into a disastrous Champions League run that eventually led to the Dutchman being sacked.

Beale has delivered the new manager bounce but if Celtic play to form on Monday a far different proposition to anything that Tillman has faced in recent weeks.
