Oh Hyeon-gyu is the latest name being linked with a move to Celtic.
With the transfer window due to open in less than 48 hours it seems that almost anything goes in terms of a striker or emerging Asian talent.
Putting those two elements together leads to Suwon Samsung striker Hyeon-gyu.
There could of course be substance to the claim from Korea Football News but on the back of the World Cup Finals it seems that agents and others are looking to get their clients into the European spotlight.
Scoring 11 goals in 32 K-League appearances is a decent return but it is a huge leap of faith to picture Hyeon-gyu as an upgrade on Celtic’s current striking options.
