At the start of the season Kris Boyd wouldn’t contemplate any suggestion that there could be a better player in Scotland than Alfredo Morelos.

The former Kilmarnock striker shot down the suggestion from Scott Allan and James McFadden that Jota was the best player in the country.

Any claim that Celtic might be better than their city rivals is met with a scowl from Boydy who is the face and voice of Scottish football as far as Sky Sports are concerned.

Incredibly it seems that the World Cup break has allowed some thinking time to set in, after just 15 matches of the SPFL season Boyd wants Morelos booted out of Ibrox although he isn’t convinced that there are any takers out there for the striker that was once valued at £40m.

In The Sun the former Portland Timbers ace explains:

RANGERS once turned down mega-money for Alfredo Morelos. Now I’m not sure they could give him away.

That’s why Chairman Douglas Park was 100 per cent bang on to tell shareholders at the AGM he won’t be held to ransom by the Colombian.

Some supporters want to see Morelos sign a new deal to prevent him for leaving when his deal runs out at the end of the season. I’m sorry, but my old club would be absolutely crazy to even consider it.

I’ve cut Morelos enough slack down the years and sang his praises. But those days are long gone.

Morelos’ attitude in a Rangers shirt lately just hasn’t been befitting that jersey and he’s made it quite clear his future lies elsewhere.

A return to Colombia at the end of his contract is looking increasingly likely for the chunky striker.

Once again i have to remind one of these media imposters that your old club ceased to exist in 2012 leaving behind a shameful mountain of debt.

    From who?
    China? Lol.
The Newco turning down mega money for anyone would be like a beggar in the street saying no thanks m8, u need it more than me.
They are on the bones of their ar se and wouldn’t be turning down anything.

Boyd is the proof that the quality of analysis in Scotland is diabolically pathetic ,with a few exceptions ! Partial analysis does not cut it . You have to understand the big picture in all of this ! Boyd had Alfoodo on a high plateau ,when others could see he was a disaster in the making ….. Makes you think that TV companies and producers are just as woeful as the imbecile they give employment to …

Sorry, but The Monster Munch Kid having a pop at anybody over their attitude, professionalism and commitment is beyond laughable. Utter hypocrite, whose brief and forgettable Scotland “career” ended in disgrace and who may have filled the jersey physically in his second Ibrox stint, but certainly didn’t from a playing perspective. Unfit, overweight and only managed a handful of goals – despite only playing against Championship teams that season, when they also failed to get promoted.

Maybe if they spruced the jersey up a bit, it might suit Alfie better!
