Josip Juranovic is reported to be in Berlin completing a £7.5m transfer to Union.

The defender has been linked with a move away from Celtic for over two months with the Bundesliga side appearing to have matched the asking terms.

Juranovic played at left-back in Celtic’s midweek win over St Mirren but isn’t expected to be involved in today’s Scottish Cup tie at home to Morton.

Just after 11pm on Friday night Sky Sports reported:

Josip Juranovic: Union Berlin agree £10m deal to sign Celtic right-back

Celtic accept £10m bid from Bundesliga side Union Berlin for right-back Josip Juranovic; initial fee is understood to be £7.5m plus add-ons; Croatian has been given permission to travel to Germany to complete move; the 27-year-old had been linked with a move to Chelsea.

At his Friday media conference Ange Postecoglou admitted that incoming and outgoing business was progressing without identifying any particular deals.

The signing of Alastair Johnstone from Montreal appeared to confirm that Juranovic would be moving on this month, in his three appearances to date the Canadian appears to have quickly adapted to the way that Postecoglou wants to see his full-backs play.

Celtic can also call on Tony Ralston at right-back although he will miss today’s match through injury, at a push the free scoring Reo Hatate can also fill in at right-back.
