A football simulator used by Glasgow Live! is predicting a rough month of February for Celtic but the Viaplay Cup will remain in the east end of Glasgow.
The imminent arrival of Nicolas Raskin at Ibrox has sent the sister publication of the Daily Record into a spin as they analyse the impact of the Belgian u-21 internationalist on the remainder of the season.
Celtic have four matches before they reach Hampden on February 26, ‘worryingly’ for hoops fans the simulator has predicted home draws against Livingston, St Mirren and Aberdeen as well as a stalemate away to St Johnstone on February 5. In 25 domestic matches this season Celtic have won 23.
The St Mirren draw will see that match go to extra-time, the hoops must survive the drama as they go on to beat Michael Beale’s side in the Fifth Round of the competition. It seems to have escaped the simulator that the Fifth Round draw has already paired the hoops with a home tie against St Mirren.
No final SPFL table is published, the winner of the Scottish Cup isn’t identified but two more Glasgow Derby victories in the SPFL will give Celtic fans reason to celebrate.
In the Scottish Cup tie Oliver Abildgaard is a surprise scorer at Ibrox while the simulator has still to update the Premier Sports Cup to the Viaplay Cup.
Examining the Raskin effect, Glasgow Live! Reports:
Over the remainder of the season, Rangers managed to close the gap between themselves and Celtic in first, but not enough as the Hoops managed to win the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic went through a rough patch that saw them draw four games in a row in February, but the Gers also endured a few defeats of their own, with Celtic beating Beale’s side to the title by seven points.
Rangers managed to end the season as the league’s top scorers, scoring 84 goals as both Morelos and Colak ended the season in fine form, with the duo both scoring 20+ goals each in the simulation. But, two losses to Celtic as well as defeats against Livingston and Ross County saw the Gers fall short of the title.
Both league meetings after Raskin’s arrival ended in 2-0 wins to Celtic, and the two also met in both cup competitions, taking their total meetings throughout the 2022/23 season to six.
The Old Firm rivals were drawn against each other in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup where the Hoops won 2-0, and the Viaplay Cup Final also ended in victory for Celtic, with Jota scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win.
Why do we bother with this pish?
The same simulator that had Celtic ending the season with fewer goals than they had already scored!!! Comedy gold!!!
That’s a bigger pile of crap than comes out of fat boy.
Simulation in footballing terms is cheating, so you can see why it favours the huns since most of their players are “simulators”.
