Nick Walsh will referee Wednesday’s match between Celtic and Livingston, his second Celtic Park appointment this month.

The Bearsden based PE teacher was in charge of the home match against Kilmarnock on January 7 which Celtic won 2-0 thanks to a late first half goal from Jota and an own goal from Ash Taylor.

Wednesday night will be Walsh’s 14th Premiership match of the season with eight of them in Glasgow, split evenly between Celtic Park and Ibrox.

So far this season the SFA have used 17 referees for Premiership matches but it seems that Walsh is a favourite for home matches involving the two two teams in the division.

Daniel McFarlane and Steven Traynor will be the assistants, Stewart Luke the Fourth Official with Colin Steven on VAR duty.

Celtic go into the match nine points clear at the top of the Premiership, on December 21 the hoops had a tough time against Livingston, winning 2-1 thanks to an own goal from Ayo Obilaye and Kyogo Furuhashi just before the interval with Nicky Devlin scoring for the visitors in first half stoppage time.
