After his side’s Viaplay Cup semi-final win over Aberdeen obsessed Micky Beale made another vague claim about Celtic.

It seems that the Ibrox boss felt that VAR wasn’t in use ‘last night’ which seems like a reference to the Celtic v Kilmarnock match.

As all Celtic fans know VAR was used to disallow ‘goals’ from Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda but it seems that Beale missed out on those decisions.

Asked about the goal his side lost to Aberdeen Beale said:

The ball goes in the direction of the centre-forward and he’s offside but we saw it yesterday in the Manchester derby as well and you’ve got to play to the whistle.

That’s a bit of a grey area, we didn’t use VAR last night and it kept breaking down today so I fink for my players we mustn’t stop.

There was no transfer update on the two or free players that Beale looked into the eyes of in the first week of January.
