Kyogo Furuhashi was the star of the show as Celtic beat St Mirren 4-0 to reinforce their place at the top of the SPFL Premiership.
The striker notched opportunist goals either side of half-time that defied VAR checks to maintain Celtic’s 100% home record and a nine point advantage in the race for the title.
Ange Postecoglou made four changes to the side that beat Kilmarnock on Saturday with Liel Abada marking his return with a goal in the 15th minute after a corner from the right caused panic in the Saints defence.
Ten minutes from the break Kyogo showed great awareness to anticipate a pass from Reo Hatate then raise his shot up and over Trevor Carson into the net. After a long check Andrew Dallas couldn’t find a fault with the effort.

Eight minutes after the break another well timed run from Kyogo put Celtic 3-0 in front from a Jota pass on the left.
Substitute David Turnbull completed the scoring in the 86th minute with a well placed 25 yard shot, low into the corner of the net.

A Lot to go til he can be exalted in the stats re- Henky, but that love tonight was mirror image of that lob.
Well done Kyogo, and well done Mr assist Hatate. What an attacking midfield we have.
Don’t know why goal became love, but hay ho, I did love it.
Bit scary, has predictive text now become predictive emotion.?????!
Joe, ” After a long check Andrew Dallas couldn’t find a fault with the effort.”
You missed the ‘even’ before Dallas’s name!
