Andy Halliday has slammed the Union Bears for their banner at Livingston criticising Micky Beale.
The Ibrox boss enjoyed a week of fawning media coverage following his decision to allow Partick Thistle to equalise Malik Tillman but Ibrox fans were less than enthused.
Chris Sutton asking if Beale would show the same level of sportsmanship again Celtic seemed to jar on the Ibrox boss who then provided the former England striker with plenty of ammunition to fire back.
Beale caught up with reality at Livingston on Saturday and wasn’t prepared to argue the point.

On Super Scoreboard tonight Halliday said:
Listen, I think the Union Bears do a lot of good stuff at Rangers. I think they actually self-fund a lot of their tifos and banners, I think that’s great. But I was really against the banner for a number of reasons.
Off the back of something the manager has done that was completely right, he’s in the door three months and he’s 14 unbeaten – he’s a week away from potentially winning a third trophy in the 11 years or whatever and it’s his first opportunity as Rangers manager to win silverware.
So as much as I disagree with the banner, I think the timing as well is really, really poor.
With Halliday, probably the most staunch player ever at the Tribute Act, throwing about his opinion the banner issue looks like rumbling on for an extra day or two.

Andy Halliday is a Hearts player. Does their management not have some kind of view on one of their players clearly presenting as a sevco fan, and obviously more interested in them than in the club that pays his wages?
