Sad boy Micky Beale has branded Chris Sutton as Chelsea’s worst ever player.

The striker moved from Blackburn Rovers for £10m in the summer of 1999, scored once in the EPL then moved to Celtic for £6m rediscovered his scoring touch including an early double against Dick Advocaat’s superstars that many fans believe was the beginning of the end for the Ibrox side.

On the back of that hammering Dave Murray attempted to sign John Hartson and Ronald de Boer- the Welshman failed his medical while the former Barcelona star signed up on a tax scam.

A few months later Tore Andre Flo was signed for £12m with the tax issues and debt mountain leading to administration then liquidation in 2012.

When Sutton was at Chelsea Beale was getting over failing to make the grade at Charlton, moving into coaching with Chelsea’s elite under-7 squad.

These days the man that knows everyfing about everyfing finks that he can slag off a £10m striker while he sits in with his media mates at Ibrox.

Asked about Sutton the Daily Recordreports:

Raging Rangers boss Michael Beale blasted Chris Sutton for daring to question his sportsmanship.

In the thinnest of veiled swipes, the Londoner refused to mention the former Celtic striker by name as he let rip at the “worst ever player to play for Chelsea.” But the angry Ibrox boss made his feelings abundantly clear as he responded to Sutton’s comments in the wake of last Sunday’s Scottish Cup clash with Partick Thistle, where Beale ordered his team to stand aside and allow Partick Thistle a walk-in equaliser after Malik Tillman had controversially netted for Rangers.

Record Sport columnist Sutton praised the “brilliant gesture” during a stint working for BBC 5 Live following the fifth-round tie, which Gers eventually won 3-2. But the ex-England international then asked: “Here’s a question, just a yes or no answer. Do you think Michael Beale would have done that had they been playing Celtic?”

That take didn’t go down well with the Rangers manager, who hit back when Sutton’s question was put directly to him: “Listen, there are pundits that are comedy acts. There are ex-players who are comedy acts.

“I don’t even want to answer that question because they are comedy acts and they are there to create intrigue. They don’t speak about the betterment of the game, they don’t help our game at all.

“All they do is bring it back down to the gutter. There are a lot of good fings we can speak about in our game at the moment, at other clubs as much as in my club.”

During his playing career Sutton won one more England cap than Beale, one more EPL title than Beale and was involved in one more £10m transfer than the man that finks he know everyfing about everyfing.

Sutton has never coached Liverpool’s u-5 academy team.

Beale,s come up here for what he thought would be an easy ride as he got found out in England. And in typical Southern England arrogance thinks we are all going to drool over his every word. Just comes over as a twat.

  • Ken Bates’ electric fence says:

Most Chelsea fans wouldn’t really identify Sutton as their worst ever signing or player, he’s just one that didn’t work out, who was successful both before and after his spell there. Winston Bogarde is usually considered to be their worst ever signing, and with good reason. He signed a €15m, four year contract and played a grand total of 10 games for it, refused to settle up or leave and retired after the contract expired. He is the poster child for the EPL’s excess, and it’s not even a recent story.

It’s a simple question. A “Yes” or “No” would have sufficed. But it is obvious that the answer is No!
