At this rate True Blue Micky Beale will soon be preparing for the marching season, out there with his flute, baton and fetching bowler hat.
The most insecure man in Scottish football more than buys into every line fed to him as he proves to the world that he is a true-blue, a real Rainjurz man.
Celtic and Ange Postecoglou crop up in most of his media conferences, yesterday to the broadcast media he was admitting that there was a low probability of catching the hoops even though there are 39 points to play for and only a nine point gap at the top of the Premiership.
Strangely BBC Scotland seem unwilling to release an exclusive interview with Beale that was filmed in mid-January in which he talks about the Celtic boss.
In the bland, boring, predictable world of the Scottish media two names stand out although Michael Stewart seems to have been recently neutered.
The other is Chris Sutton, the former England striker is such a hated figure that his safety can’t be guaranteed inside of Ibrox.
Taking a shot at the popular BBC and BT Sport pundit is an easy way to win over the gullible and deluded, almost as much of a vote winner as dropping in the Louden Tavern pre-match when you are looking to unsettle the existing manager and flag up your staunch credentials for a job that isn’t available.
As he hypes himself up and tries to cover a playing career that never reached a single professional appearance Beale needs to realise that Sutton outlasted Warburton, Caixinha, Murty and Gerrard and will still be giving out opinions long after the former Liverpool u-5s coach has cleared out his desk from Murray Park.
And at that point the former Charlton reject will be desperate to get on the media gravy train to share his wonderful views even though he struggles to express himself in the English language, I fink.
