Chris Sutton has laughed off the claim that Fashion Sakala has spooked Celtic by referring to the hoops as ‘the other mob’.
The Zambian star made the comment during a media conference on Tuesday which instantly made the headlines.
Most Celtic fans laughed it off as playing to the gallery from a player that has been in Scotland for less than two years.
Ally McCoist jumped on board the bandwagon with claims that the comments had ruffled feathers and will have got under the skin of Sunday’s opponents.
Sutton took a more realistic view of what Sakala had to say, while it gave the media plenty to run with it is difficult to imagine it creating any impact on the Celtic squad.
Watching Scottish Football Extra on BT Sport tonight, the Daily Record reports Sutton saying:
Do you think he’s got into the Celtic player’s heads? I’m sure there’s panic within the Celtic dressing room.
Callum McGregor and Kyogo, they’ll be quaking in their boots. (They’ll be saying) ‘Wow, he called us the other mob, we’re outraged, let’s take our eyes off the ball guys.
Sutton and McCoist will switch over to Viaplay Sport to cover Sunday’s match from Hampden.
Today the Ibrox eejit said this “I want to be a manager at a really big club, a really successful club. I’m very ambitious,” he said.
