Charlie McCann has been telling Daily Record readers about the morals that he has picked up in his career.

Last month the midfielder switched from being 10th choice midfielder at Ibrox to a place in the League One relegation battle with Forest Green Rovers four points adrift at the bottom of the table having played four games more than second bottom Accrington Stanley.

The day after Ian Burchnall signed McCann for an undisclosed fee he was sacked, new boss Duncan Ferguson has lost his first two matches in charge with everything pointing towards relegation to League Two.

McCann’s decision to switch from being a youth internationalist for Ireland to the North made him something of a poster boy among Ibrox fans even if they barely saw him playing on the pitch.

Staying on script the midfielder told the Daily Record some of the lessons that he has picked up after failing to make the grade at two top flight clubs.

There are some big clubs in the UK where you can go to learn and develop. But Man United and Rangers are different. Jermain Defoe said it when he left Rangers. It’s an institution.

Man United are the same, they’re two institutions. They have certain morals and values that set them apart from other clubs.

They’re two of the best. Hopefully from what I’ve learnt at Old Trafford and Ibrox, I can take on now for the rest of my career.

Recent events would suggest that the morals of both clubs are best avoided.

Just another example of ingratiating association demanded by the club with the fans who are certainly the very scum of the earth!

Mention anybody else (and use the word “Rangers”) in the same sentence and you give you and and your fellow filth a sense of justification for your existence and your beliefs. Be it Man. U or … take your pick …! Anybody but “Rangers”! It is a trick of psychology! It tricks you into thinking that you are the same as, well, anybody else, really!

And then you will have then gained the appreciation of the dregs of humanity that secretly you are shit scared of and cower at the feet of, grovelling to be accepted.

    It’s your life, ain’t it?
