Reo Hatate was the undisputed Man of the Match as Celtic beat Aberdeen 4-0 to reinforce their position at the top of the SPFL Premiership.
The Japanese midfielder scored twice coming off the bench last week against St Mirren and repeated that with a starting place against Barry Robson’s side.
After Callum McGregor’s second minute opener Hatate added some security to the scoreline with a well executed shot in the 13th minute to double the lead.
Strangely there was no further scoring in the first half, after the break it took the hoops until the 76th minute with Hatate the creator and executor.

Some incredible close control left three Aberdeen defenders demoralised, a quick pass to McGregor brought a return ball from the skipper with Hatate showing a clinical side to his game to net from 15 yards out.
Soon after Hatate was substituted, Liel Abada completed the scoring in the 89th minute with Hatate heading into next week’s Viaplay Cup Final in top form and full of confidence.
As now “Ange to Leeds” is over with and we have a cup final against thems next weekend I’d put good money on Reo’s magic feet making him appear as the first “EXCLUSIVE: (Insert EPL club here) INTERESTED IN (insert important Celtic first-team regular here)” headline of destabilising intent screaming out from the back pages Monday’s rags…
Great player with growing importance to the team. I’d put him in the 15m bracket, and not a penny less.
