Oh Hyeon-gyu starts his first Celtic match in today’s clash with Aberdeen with Kyogo Furuhashi on the bench following last week’s shoulder injury.
There are two changes in midfield with Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley returning to join Callum McGregor in what was the regular midfield in the first few months of the season.
David Turnbull’s injury was flagged up at yesterday’s media conference but there was no word on Aaron Mooy who drops completely out of the squad.
After his impressive substitute appearances and goal against St Mirren today’s match gives Oh the chance to show that he is a very capable deputy for Kyogo who is Scotland’s top scorer.
It took an 86th minute goal from Callum McGregor to claim all three points at Pittodrie in December but since then Jim Goodwin has been sacked with Barry Robson in charge on a caretaker basis.
Willie Collum is today’s referee.
CELTIC: Hart; Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Taylor; McGregor, Hatate, O’Riley; Jota, Oh, Maeda
SUBS: Bain, Kyogo, Haksabanovic, Abada, Kobayashi Iwata, Bernabei, Forrest, Ralston
