Undeterred by Ange Postecoglou’s dismissive attitude towards his Instagram account Giorgos Giakoumakis has shared two brief video clips from this season.

Celtic’s problems in front of goal in the Champions League were well documented but the soon to depart striker did notch one of just four goals when he scored at home to Shakhtar Donetsk.

That goal featured in his Instagram story alongwith his Hampden strike against Kilmarnock last month which almost certainly looks like his last goal as a Celtic player.

At today’s match against St Johnstone Ange Postecoglou expected a deal with Atlanta United to be forthcoming with the Celtic boss sounding keen to get the whole saga settled.

A £4m transfer won’t represent much of a paper profit for Celtic but exactly a year ago the former VVV Venlo man was getting into his stride with a vital run of goals and domineering performances.

Today Kyogo Furuhashi took his total for the season to 23 with Oh Hyeon-gyu looking as if he is settling in quickly to his move to a new continent and the expectations on a Celtic striker.
