Season 21/22 was many things to Celtic fans, when Kyogo Furuhashi ended 2021 with a serious hamstring injury Giakoumakis stepped up to deliver many vital goals as Celtic won 15 and drew three of their final 18 matches to claim the Premiership title.

Despite all of his goals during 2022 Giakoumakis will be equally remembered for two domineering performances in Glasgow derbies, he never scored but played a pivotal role in firstly a 3-0 win followed by a 4-0 victory to turn the city Green and White.
The final couple of months were a bit awkward when news of a contract stand off surfaced, fittingly Giakoumakis scored in his final appearance, at Hampden in the semi-final of the Viaplay Cup against Kilmarnock.
He did for us what he had to do and was required,he scored goals.
