David Martindale was back discussing his favourite topic today- Celtic.
The Livingston boss thinks that he knows the wages of Ange Postecoglou’s squad and has watched the hoops beat his side three times so far this season.
Last weekend Livingston managed to lose 3-0 at home to Inverness Caley Thistle in the Scottish Cup, any sort of home defeat to a lower division side is a problem but 3-0 seems pretty clear cut.
Caley Thistle now host Kilmarnock for a place in the lucrative semi-finals but it appears that comparing two clubs from Glasgow has been occupying the thoughts of the Livingston boss.
On Saturday Micky Beale takes his side to the Tony Macaroni with Martindale telling The Scotsman:
How do you beat Rangers? You are going to need a little bit of luck on the day. Am I correct in saying Michael’s record is the exact same as Ange’s record since Michael took over? For me, Celtic were the best team in the country before Michael came in to Rangers.
He has come in, he has done a fantastic job and him and Ange are now head-to-head, obviously Celtic have got that head start with the points they picked up previously. But I think it shows the job that Michael has done.
If you had said to anybody at Rangers, when they made the appointment, that you are going to be in the cups, going to be unbeaten including a game against Celtic, I think they would have snapped your hands off for that.
It could have got a little better in terms of the result against Celtic but it couldn’t have been much better.

Earlier in the week Martindale was joking about how he had sent Ange Postecoglou’s CV to Leeds United where they have a managerial vacancy.
If Livingston can hold onto the fourth place that they are currently in there will be another visit from Celtic in the post-split fixtures.
