Simon Jordan has warned Micky Beale that he won’t be beating Celtic anytime soon.
The former Crystal Palace owner watched the 42-year-old declare his undying loyalty to Queens Park Rangers then bolt out of the club after undermining Giovanni van Bronckhorst with a classless appearance in the Ibrox Directors Box while the pressure mounted on the Dutchman.
In Scotland Beale has been hailed as a visionary with his work at Liverpool, Chelsea and in Brazil celebrated without any inspection of what he did in those jobs.
Steven Gerrard and Gary McAllister seem to have been airbrushed from the history books with Beale credited with losing eight trophies out of nine during his first stint at Ibrox.
On Sunday morning Beale woke up as the brightest young coach in the world, soothing himself as he read his comments complaining about the Union Bears banner highlighting a record of winning just two trophies in 11 years.
By 5pm on Sunday it was open season on Beale, it had started at 1.45pm when he bottled out of selecting Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin, his prized January signings.
Chris Jack of the Glasgow Times has called out Beale’s selection errors, after his hasty exit from QPR there won’t be any life boats available in English football.
Picking up on Jordan’s appearance with Jim White on TalkSPORT this morning the Daily Record reports the former Crystal Palace owner saying:
Michael Beale, he’s a mixed bag isn’t he. Rangers aren’t good enough. I don’t think they’re good enough in the dugout right now to compete with Ange Postecoglou. I don’t think they are good enough on the pitch. We’re talking about the situation surrounding Ange Postecoglou and where he is, and what he is as a manager.
They are nine points clear in the SPFL, just beat them in the cup. They’ll beat them every time they play them or they won’t get beat by them. They won’t get beat by Rangers anytime soon.
He’s (Beale) got this running feud going on with Chris Sutton, which I think is ridiculous. Both of them should keep their counsel a little bit albeit the fact that Chris is a pundit and that’s what he’s paid to do now
