Daizen Maeda underwent a bit of a makeover for his daughter on Valentine’s Day which will no doubt get a mention or two in the Celtic dressing room.
Two months on from impressing at the World Cup Finals in Qatar the striker appears to have been a bit of a pushover for the creative side of his daughter Soyo.
Daizen: “Thank you for putting on makeup on me?”
His eldest daughter Soyo did on him on Valentine’s Day?? I’m starting to see him as Beyonce. If he play in the style, he needs to incorporate Beyonse’s “Crazy In Love” dance in his goal celebration? pic.twitter.com/kyseG2d94h— Yatao Tsuchi (@yataoda4) February 14, 2023
Whatever the make-up or disguise there is no mistaking the contribution that the former Yokohama F Marinos forward is making to the Celtic side.
Following his trip to Qatar he scored a wonder goal at Easter Road then first footed at Ibrox with the opening goal of the game from an Alfredo Morelos assist.
With a doubt over the fitness of Kyogo Furuhashi following a shoulder injury Maeda may find himself playing centre-forward on Saturday at home to Aberdeen as Celtic push on towards retaining the SPFL title.

thats just beautiful !! heart melting Daizen !! well done
We are going into the Business End of the season now and most supporters at Celtic will be optimistic about the season’s forthcoming outcomes!
The Club appears to be united as much as we have been since the heady days of the arrival of Brendan Rogers and the Invincible Treble season, when domestically, we swept all before us. The only factor stopping us achieving that again, is us getting out there and doing it ourselves!
We’ll see how the season pans out and how we do!
Or put it another way. If you are paying for a Season Ticket at Celtic this season, you should be looking for the Club to win all three trophies, for you to get your moneys worth!
If it don’t, then you’ll have been short-changed, I reckon, because you are paying into a scheme, or a Club, which does not represent you, to the same measure as the quality which you should expect or deserve.
They will in effect have let you down!
We’ll see!
