One quirky aspect of Celtic’s season has been the gum-shield worn by Reo Hatate.
It first appeared in pre-season fixtures, standing out for being blue although unlike certain clubs wearing a rival colours isn’t a big issue at Celtic.
Scottish football is known for being robust/competitive/dirty but it seems that there is more to the Hatate gum-shield than self defence.
