It was another efficient performance from Celtic as they took full points from St Johnstone on a horrible surface at McDiarmid Park today.
The chewed up pitch barely survived the pre match warm up, by the end of 90 minutes it wasn’t fit for Junior football with Darvel’s Recreation Park recently embarrassing the surface showcasing the Scottish game on Sky Sports.
Despite the embarrassing conditions Celtic did turn on the style for the fans that made the trip through for the noon kick-off with Aaron Mooy scoring the third goal a particular highlight.
The one-time St Mirren midfielder is getting more influential with every match, with three trophies at stake over the next four months the signing of Mooy in the summer looks like another inspired move from Postecoglou.
The February fixture card has no midweek dates with home matches coming up against St Mirren and Aberdeen before the month is concluded at Hampden in the final of the Viaplay Cup.
