The SFA gave a vote on no confidence to Willie Collum and Kevin Clancy when they announced the match officials for the Viaplay Cup Final on February 26.
As a consolation one of them will probably get the April 8 derby clash but in the competitive/bitching world of refereeing Collum and Clancy have been pushed down the ladder.
Nick Walsh, who took charge of the September meeting between the two Glasgow clubs will be in charge at Hampden with John Beaton, who refereed the last meeting between the clubs on VAR duty.
Penalty claims have been a major feature in the two fixtures this season, all of them going against Celtic. The SFA know what to expect from their cup final officials, the officials know what the SFA expects to be delivered.

2 of Scotlands finest refs. Both have been in charge of Celtic v Rangers games this season.

Leading 1-0 in the 15th minute Liel Abada was preparing a shot at goal when Ryan Kent ran across him from the back, sending the winger to the ground. Clearly the prospect of Celtic being 2-0 up with 75 minutes to play wasn’t one that the Bearsden PE teacher wanted to contemplate. Celtic haven’t been awarded a penalty at home in the SPFL this season, 12 matches.
In the final minute, trailing 4-0 Connor Goldson brutally sythes down Daizen Maeda. Walsh issues a yellow card, a similar incident involving Anthony Stewart and Fashion Sakala in the Viaplay Cup semi-final resulted in Walsh reaching for a red card.
Walsh has real problems with the handball rule.

At Ibrox in January John Beaton didn’t hesitate to the penalty spot as Fashio Sakala stood on the boot of Carl Starfelt, on VAR Willie Collum backed the decision with Tavpen putting the homeside into the lead.
Later in the same match Connor Goldson raised his hands to block a shot from Starfelt, after a very brief VAR consultation with Collum Beaton waved play on.

?’Before we even introduced VAR, it’s always been a penalty’
?’I’ve seen people try to do mental gymnastics trying to show why it’s not a penalty’
?’There were two saves in the game, one by Joe (Hart) and one by Connor (Goldson)’

The baws burst and the games a bogey we know te result of the cup fina it’s sevco’s Cup,the SFA and the refs association have seen to that and it’s stitched up.
We are all watching a rigged game here Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks,Mick McManus and Kendo Makasaki aka the Men in Black will see to that.
When money comes n the door loyalty goes out the window, that’s the Celtic boards take on the refs they ain’t doing jackshit about it.
Lol at the klan on FF they are screaming over there for the SFA,/SPFL to dock Celtic points for that Toss banner at the weekend.
