An absolute embarrassment- Motherwell coach hits out at Cantwell

Richard Foster has slammed Todd Cantwell as an absolute embarassment for his role in getting Callum Slattery sent off on Saturday.

Mr Amy MacDonald looks like he will struggle to maintain a balance between his job as a BBC pundit and Motherwell coach.

Slattery already had a booking against his name when he took possession of the ball in front of Cantwell in the 75th minute.

When the former Norwich golden boy tried to foul Slattery from behind the Motherwell man raised his arm as he pushed forward with Cantwell dramatically falling to the ground holding his face.

Nick Walsh obliged with a second yellow card to reduce the home side to 10 men.

Sunday was the eighth time this season that Walsh has refereed a game involving the Ibrox club, this morning he will be back at the day job training Murray Park starlets at Boclair Academy.

The first one (yellow card) for Slattery he lunges in but the second one is an absolute embarrassment from Cantwell.

His reaction is an embarrassment. Nick Walsh has every right to believe he’s been hit hard in the face, but I don’t believe Tyson Fury would knock him down as quick as that, he throws his hands to the face and throws his body to the face.

Players need to take responsibility as if that is the other way around, everyone in the Rangers team complains. He does the referee and that takes my Motherwell bias out of this.
