Yesterday at Fir Park was a special day for Douglas Ross- back officiating at a match involving the Ibrox Tribute Act.

Prior to and during the Lockdown season his portly figure was regularly sweating up and down the sidelines at Ibrox. Three times he was selected for the Glasgow derby, in March 2018 he was spotted shouting red card, red card at Willie Collum who obliged on Jozo Simunovic.

As the visiting players got off their team bus outside the front door they made their way towards the away dressing room.

Out of nowhere Ross appeared in front of John Souttar, wearing his black Adidas tracksuit making his way to the officials room.

When the away bus turns up outside stadiums everyone onboard filters off at once, other people allowed access hold back to ensure that the players and coaches get to their dressing room without hinderance or interruption.

No surprise if he did arrive on the Sevco bus. After all he is a fan. Getting to meet his heroes and travel with them at the same time pure bliss . In no way would it colour his judgement during the match. I would shudder to think that such a thing would be permitted in Fair Caledonia. Unthinkable. NOT.

  • John Copeland says:

Maybe smug Doug was the bus driver ! Double dough for his Saturday work … Linesman and bus driver extraordinaire !

  • Seppington says:

Probably just a coincidence of timing but would any of us be in the least surprised if it was true…?

  • Scud Missile says:

Just look back to last week when video footage showed McGregor was in the tunnel ready to come out on to the pitch but shaking hands and hugging the ref before the game.
Yesterday’s incident with the FAT PONCE Dugbaws Toss it wouldn’t surprise me to find him going in there with the sevco players to listen to the team talk and to get last minute instructions on when to call in the HONEST CHEATING MISTAKES for today’s game.

  • Duncan says:

Apparently he was driving the team bus?
Rumour has it he was wearing Jimmy Bells brogues

  • the maister says:

He’s too pwoud in that linesmans red shirt. Give them green ones and take them down a peg!

  • Duncan says:

He used the same flux capacitor the MSM uses to state Rangers survived Liquidation apparently.

  • Bob (original) says:

That video is not conclusive, so Ross has to be asked by the SMSM if he did in fact
travel on the sevco bus… but I won’t hold my breath waiting!

IF ANY match official travelled on ANY team’s bus, then that would at the very least,
display incredibly poor judgement by the official – who should then be invited to explain his actions to the SFA Compliance Officer.

But, we have already witnessed Beaton having drinks in a sevco pub after a dodgy, derby game – and another official trains the sevco starlets in his day job.

Unfortuntately, VAR can’t rectify either hard of thinking or arrogance amongst match officials – or amongst the SFA blazers. 🙁

  • harold shand says:

He travelled there on a Stagecoach bus for £12 and claimed £8000 expenses

  • Scud Missile says:

It’s only a matter of time before these officials have a seat in the dugout with Beale.
Maybe they would be as well doing VAR from the sevco dugout their doing everything to piss all over us and every one else.

  • John S says:

‘I’ve got sheets of papers with names and I demand that they’re named. Who attacked the bus (for insurance purposes) when protecting the referee ?’

  • Davie says:

He was collecting the bus fare for uncle Donald Park.

  • the maister says:

He forgot to claim his expenses one time!

  • Thomas Daly says:

Does that not deserve an enquiry by the SFA/SPFL,IF THATS THE CASE THEY SHOULD BE PUNISHED,GIVE MOTHERWELL THE 3 POINTS
