Barry Ferguson’s double transfer fear

Barry Ferguson fears that Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent are both about to leave Ibrox as free agents.

If that logic has got through to the former Alloa boss it must be screamingly obvious.

With three pay-days left until they can sign on elsewhere there is no sign of a contract being put to either player or half a dozen others including regulars like Allan McGregor and Ryan Jack.

There seems to be relatively little media coverage given to the issue with a number of mixed messages being sent out from Micky Beale’s media conferences.

As soon as Ange Postecoglou took charge of Celtic it was essential that Kris Ajer, Ryan Christie and Odsonne Edouard were quickly sold but Beale has had the luxury of six months working alongside players that won’t be around next season.

Picking up on his appearance on Go Radio, The Sun reports Ferguson saying:

I’m swaying towards both Morelos and Ryan Kent going. I think Morelos 100%, I seen it with Michael Beale’s interview after the game, it looked to me like it was curtains.

Ryan Kent I’m still unsure but I’m swaying towards he will leave. But if they agree a new contract with Ryan Kent I’ll be more than happy.

Having put off decisions on these players for at least 18 months Ross Wilson will need to come up with some spectacular summer signings to convince angry bears that he is upto the job and justify his massive salary.

Kent and Morethanless can easily be replaced with frees and loans, hearing Yeovil Town may be down sizing.
