Celtic are reported to be preparing to launch a fourth kit of the season.

The dark green shirt is being reported by Footy Headlines, when it comes to kit stories that site tends to have the inside track, it is almost a soft launch when a story reaches their pages.

After a spell with New Balance Celtic fans have been fully engaged with the Adidas deal which is now in its third season. There has yet to be an outstanding home kit but the away kits have proved exceptionally popular with fans although there is one exception which comes to the fire this weekend.

Back in September Celtic turned up in a silver/grey kit to face the Black and White’s of St Mirren, from early in the match it was obvious that there was a colour clash with Celtic losing 2-0.

The kit hasn’t been seen again, tomorrow Celtic return to the scene of the crime, looking to avenge their only domestic defeat of the season.

Footy Headlines reports:

The Adidas Celtic 22-23 4th shirt combines a dark green base with two Irish elements – a shamrock instead of the regular club crest and the Irish flag colours on the collar.

Celtic Football Club have Irish roots and honour their heritage in various ways, including flying the Irish Tricolour on Match Days. The name “Celtic” represents the common link between Irish and Scottish cultures.

Celtic were founded to provide young people from the Catholic community in Scotland with sporting success and to showcase their achievement and worth. All logos of the Adidas Celtic FC 22-23 fourth jersey are light green.

A fourth kit, no matter how it is dressed up seems one too many, especially when launched in March. There is no word from Celtic over which kit they will wear tomorrow.
