Tony Ralston’s exit from the Scotland national team has been confirmed this morning.

The defender was injured during training on Friday and sat out the 3-0 win over Cyprus yesterday.

Last night Video Celts announced that Ralston wouldn’t be involved in Tuesday’s match against Spain with that news confirmed by the tweet from the Scotland National Team.

Although Alastair Johnston is the clear first choice right-back for Ange Postecoglou any injury to Ralston will be a concern to the Celtic boss.

The 23-year-old was outstanding last season as Celtic stormed to the title, coming in for the injured Josip Juranovic to start the five post-split fixtures that clinched the SPFL title.

Greg Taylor missed out on a Scotland call up to deal with an injury issue, during the international break a number of injury issues have surfaced with concerns over Liel Abada, Daizen Maeda and Sead Haksabanovic.
