Saturday’s return trip to Celtic Park was too good an opportunity for Mikel Lustig to ignore on his Instagram account.
The former Celtic defender and his wife Josefin are regular users of social media with his hoops career very well documented.
Lustig bowed out on the ultimate of highs- playing his last match in the 2019 Scottish Cup Final with his pass to Odsonne Edouard clinching the Treble Treble.
Plans for a triumphant bus journey back to Celtic Park came to a halt on High Street with the volume of fans making the route impassible.
There isn’t much left of the the dressing room that Lustig left behind but the passion of the supporters and the success of the club continues under Ange Postecoglou into a new era.
Lustig arrived as an out of contract stranger in 2012 but left seven years later as one of the most decorated players in Celtic’s history and clearly a fan for life.
