Alfredo Morelos HASN’T signed or agreed a pre-contract deal to join Sevilla in the summer.

The news won’t come as any surprise to anyone that has followed Morelos’ career or has the slightest grasp of the transfer market.

After 11 transfer windows full of hype without a single offer being tabled there is virtually no chance of any sort of offer being made to Morelos from a top five league.

Last week a highly unreliable Ibrox fan site claimed that a deal had been agreed but not signed by Morelos, that was picked up by Spanish websites and bounced back to mainstream Scottish sites quoting ‘reports in Spain’.

Micky Beale commented on the speculation after beating Raith Rovers on Sunday but after a little digging the Daily Record reveals that there is SFA to the story:

Alfredo Morelos has told Rangers he hasn’t penned a pre-contract with Sevilla despite reports in the Spanish media linking him with the La Liga outfit.

Michael Beale is yet to speak to the Colombian about his future, or lack of one at Ibrox, and admitted as much after the Scottish Cup quarter-final win over Raith Rovers at the weekend. As things stand, El Bufalo is set to leave Ibrox after five years at the club since joining from HJK Helsinki.

Morelos has informed Rangers that he hasn’t spoken to or agreed terms with any other club as of yet, although he has been free to speak to potential suitors since the turn of the year.

A move back to Colombia or Mexico is most likely for Morelos who is currently out of favour with Beale starting Antonio Colak in each of the last three matches.

In other news Ryan Jack has ruled out a shock move to join Bayern Munich with reports that Scot Arfield is a target for Real Madrid believed to be wide of the mark.
