Kevin Clancy will referee Celtic’s Scottish Cup tie at Tynecastle on Saturday.

Back in August Robbie Neilson was highly critical of Clancy’s decision to issue second yellow cards to Alex Cochrane in the 89th minute Toby Sibbick a minute later.

In stoppage time Giorgos Giakoumakis scored Celtic’s second goal in a 2-0 victory after Kyogo Furuhashi opened the scoring in the 13th minute.

Clancy has refereed Celtic three times this season, in his last appointment he was prompted to award a penalty against Efe Ambrose for handball which Aaron Mooy converted.

Strangely he also took charge of Hearts in the last round when they won 2-0 away to Hamilton Accies.

Willie Collum will be on VAR duty for Saturday’s 12.15 kick-off with David Munro the Fourth Official. David McGeachie and Dougie Potter will be the assistants with more than 3,000 Celtic fans backing the hoops from the Roseburn Stand.
