Within 30 minutes of being released Celtic fans had brought Adidas to a standstill with demand for the new Samba trainers.

The release was only announced yesterday but at 8am fans were hovering over their phones to click through to get the iconic trainers on their feet with a special Celtic twist.

Within six minutes there were 30,000 fans in the queue, whatever demand had been anticipated there were many more with the queue halted.

Some smart fans anticipated the demand, switched their attention to partner site JD Sports where they were able to get the elusive message confirming that their sale had gone through.
