There is little doubt that Jonny McFarlane is one of the most influential bears on the Internet.

When you are the brains behind The Rangers Review and The Celtic Way with access to the other Newsquest titles you are much more than just another raving Internet Bampot. According to LinkedIn he is Head of Digital Sport at Newsquest.

His first online venture was Fitbaw Hacks where he interviewed prominent Scottish reporters about their careers, many from the Succulent Lamb days and started working his way into old school newspapers.

The Daily Record gave him a digital gig for four years which produced the classic Barrie Mackay tweet.

As recently as last week he was explaining why James Tavernier is the best player in Scotland according to his mates at StatsBomb. Google Analytics will be judging whether McFarlane is the Tavpen of the Internet.

    Huns know nothing about football.

This person is delusional if he thinks that Barry McKay is better than Kieron Tierney

We have a couple of Jonny McFandans writing plenty pro Celtic based guff on our own side of the Clyde.

Most of the guff you read on Social Media is simply rehashed or plagiarised thoughts from someone else with the usual caveats applied dependent on the target audience.

Anything that has a wall of ads (that refreshes every time you tough the screen) has to be viewed with more than a punch of scepticism in my opinion.

One such culprit regurgitates anything related to both Clubs at every opportunity feeding the insatiable lust for “news” on their chosen Club at such a rate it is almost impossible to fathom where he gets the time to do so.

Hell he’s even invented his own nicknames for certain characters in his daily assassinations to somehow distinguish himself from the rest.

    Fitba is rife with experts.

We as fans are all Budget Steins and or Shankly’s at the end of the day.

    One fact remains however.

Nothing we do or say changes a single thing on the Park.

Turn your internet off for an entire month and I guarantee you it will not impact a single moment on or off the Park in any of the games that will be played.

I get that some are in this for a living etc but come tae tuck guys yer no that important in the big scheme of things.

    None of us are.

    Mon the hoops.
