Mark Hateley wants Alfredo Morelos to scare Celtic sh*tless in the Scottish Cup semi-final!
The chunky Colombian has had a miserable time of it in the Glasgow derby but Hateley believes that personal pride can inspire at least one more performance out of Morelos.
With Kemar Roofe out until the start of next season Micky Beale has to decide between Morelos and Antonio Colak to lead the line with the Croatian getting the nod in each of the last three matches.
Over the last week there has been some far fetched rumours that Morelos has agreed to join Sevilla but it is quite a stretch to see any club from one of the top five leagues in Europe investing in Alf.
Turning his thoughts back to some mythical time to discuss Morelos, Hateley told the Daily Record:
Do you want to go out with a legacy? Do you want to be welcomed back to the club in the future with open arms? That is the conversation right now. This is a chance for Alfredo to go out as a hero if he can make the difference in the semi-final and set Rangers up to retain the Cup.
I would definitely play him in that game. It wasn’t that long again defenders were scared sh*tless of playing against Alfredo. So it’s there, he just needs to apply that now.
He can keep the centre-backs occupied, keep them tight together and that allows runners to come through inside the full-backs. That’s what I want Alfredo to do and then the likes of Todd Cantwell or Malik Tillman can get the space they need.
On recent outings it seems that there is more chance of Hateley scaring defenders sh**less than the former HJK Helsinki striker.
Umm er aah err umm.
I think that says it all about SHately.
Too many knocks on the napper.
ANOTHER NUMPTY fae the past rolled oot tae talk PISH! Naebdy duz it like the current or ex FILTH Players!!
Hasbeen talking up another Hasbeen. It gets a bit monotonous.
Morales should be heading to a donkey shelter instead
The only thing our players might find terrifying about Alf is the possibility he might eat them
He was nearly right. I laughed so hard at that I nearly shit myself.
