Fabrizio Romano has stated the obvious that EPL clubs are looking at Celtic for summer signings.
Strangely there seemed to be very little interest from down south in Giorgos Giakoumakis or Josip Juranovic but Cameron Carter-Vickers is much more of a known quantity.
The defender had a number of loan spells in the English Championship without any interest coming from the top flight.
Even last summer there seemed limited competition to Celtic signing Carter-Vickers from Spurs but a second impressive season plus an appearance at the World Cup Finals hasn’t gone un-noticed.
A succession of Celtic players have been sold to English sides over the last decade with Romano expecting further activity- but with Ange Postecoglou planning ahead in anticipation.

For Carter-Vickers I think it’s going to be an important summer. I am told some Premier League clubs are already exploring this possibility. Of course, he already knows Premier League football so he could be a possibility in the summer.
But, Celtic will try their best to keep their players. Then, at some point, they will have to sell but I think they are well-equipped in this process.
Romano added:
They have to find a replacement before they sell the player. I think it’s not going to be easy at all [to keep hold of him] because Premier League clubs are always there, and centre-backs are always wanted in the transfer market but I am sure they will fight to keep him.
Yuki Kobayashi was signed by Postecoglou is January but is left sided, switching Carl Starfelt to the right to replace Carter-Vickers would be an option but the Swede doesn’t appear to have the same presence and composure on the ball as his American team-mate.
