After last weeks assists for Kyogo and Jota the last thing that Ibrox fans wanted to see today’s was a couple of goals for St Mirren.
With Connor Goldson again missing John Souttar and Ben Davies were paired together and proved that last week’s efforts weren’t a one off.
When the time came to be substituted in the 77th minute Davies sprinted off the pitch, it seems that reality has set in after Ross Wilson agreed a £4m deal to sign the former Preston man from Liverpool.
There seems to be genuine concern that Goldson could miss the Scottish Cup semi-final in a fortnight which means that Davies and Souttar are likely to be selected with Leon King the only other option.
At Ibrox they like big solid defenders, bruisers, hard men. Some fans have nicknamed Davies Floppy, today’s social media reaction doesn’t look favourable with the clock ticking towards another clash with Celtic.
Pity that fairy Ben Davies doesn’t have the balls to challenge n fight for everything

Need better than Ben Davies…. Like souttar but same scenario as Helander can’t really depend on him making a partnership ?

We spent £4 million on Ben Davies
Weak in the air
Can’t tackle
Poor awareness
Can’t anticipate danger
Soft as shiteAnything else ?

Imagine how grim the list of defenders Wilson had scouted must’ve been for us to have ended up *spending £4m on* Ben Davies.

What do we do with our £4m £25k a week Ben Davies then? ??????

Ben Davies looked good when we got him! But that shocker last week was compounded by an absolutely shjte one today . Drop him rest of the season ! They will tear him apart in semi ! Confidence gone

Maybe Wilson will come back in for Davies in the summer?
Or maybe not.
When your club is falling apart on and off the field, all you’ve got left is
stubborn solidarity to support and will on your team to win.
So, it’s daft / great that the bears are taking pot shots at their own players,
who are already low on confidence.
Ibrox must be an even more miserable place to be these days. 🙂
