Flicking through their On This Day files someone at Football Scotland decided that they had uncovered some good news for their loyal readers.
Back in 2016 it was party time at Ibrox, James Tavernier raised a CHAMPIONS 2016 scarf, Andy Halliday grabbed the megaphone from the Union Bears for some party tunes and Mark Warburton soaked up the adulation of thousands of adults with read wrappers on their head.
Even the official Twitter account decided to body swerve the unfortunate seventh anniversary but at Reach Media, publishers of the Daily Record and its digital offspring Football Scotland it was time to celebrate.
The journey was apparently over but a few weeks later Hibs won the Scottish Cup.
Joey Barton and Nicky Kranjcar were recruited for the assault on the Premiership but were soon on their way back south alongside Mister Warburton.
Two top flight trophies have been won out of 19, anything other than an away win on Saturday and the team at the Record and Football Scotland will be grudgingly preparing for another Celtic trophy party.

Great progress for such a young club although they failed the season before to finally get into the top flight for the first time as a club must have been the highlight of those guys career’s

This is the daily Record telling it’s pet project the Rangers ,that it has their back … Always ! The rag knows humiliation is on the cards for the tribute act on Saturday . So a little spot of previous success will help cool down pre match skitters ,sorry ,jitters !
