Fan media delivers a more realistic assessment of football than the old school but there remains boundaries, especially for those outlets that enjoy media access to their club.

At every home match Heart & Hand get access to players and managers inside Ibrox after watching the match from the media gantry.

David Edgar is the voice, face and driving force of Heart & Hand but his despair over a defeat today strayed too far, especially against someone from a legal background.

Clancy disallowed a first half ‘goal’ from Alfredo Morelos after he had wrestled with Alastair Johnston. There was contact in the penalty box between the two players, as the ball arrives Morelos uses both hands to push Johnston away before putting the ball in the net.

The match referee gave a foul straight away, VAR backed it up. In the Viaplay Cup Final Morelos got away with a similar push to score, today he got caught.

Clancy had no major howlers but delighted in awarding a series of second half free kicks inside the Celtic half for the slightest of contact.

Today was his fourth Glasgow Derby, the first that Celtic have won.

We weren’t at our best tday,, especially centre backs cross field passing too much of it, creating hospital balls for players,, a really big concern was the amount of free kicks awarded against us, sum calls rite but a lot deff not,,it was the only way they wer going to make inroads in the game,, its something to think about semi,, saying that a great result all the same,

Well done Father Clancy (as they refer to him).
As an aside that’s now the third game in a row against them when we haven’t been at our best but still managed a victory.
A cause for celebration certainly, but a cause for concern going forward?
Not the easy victory that I was anticipating before kick off.

  • KC67 says:

Sounds like they’re hurting. Oh dear, how sad, never mind.

Loved the result didn’t particularly enjoy the game. We were so out of sorts the first half, nervy, short passes. I thought we would have dominated, especially after the Ross County game when we again we were not at our best, a blip, generally back to full onslaught for the next game against them it didn’t happen. The expectation of 60,000 fans and millions around the world beared heavy on them but they didn’t disappoint as they never stop. Next up another clash in the cup when we will hopefully, have Hatete back, won’t be any stopping us then. After that last visit to Castle Greyskull when we can witness how well they play against 50,000 or maybe just under of their own supporters if they haven’t left in droves by then.

I think in the 2nd half mr clancy tried his best to help sevco because everytime a blue jumper fell to the ground clancy blew for a freekick and some were never a freekick sevco players diving all over the place so why dont the media ask him to take his players to swimming they might won medals at that before football isn’t there game celtic weren’t that good first-hand with there passing but it just show everyone how shite sevco were they couldn’t beat us so for all yous huns and media scum the gap is still miles that sevco couldn’t beat us when we weren’t at our best so i look forward to hampden bigger pitch to move about so lets go champions and try our best for ange and get him his first treble..Hail Hail
