Micky Beale looked like a broken man as he watched his side crashing to a 2-0 defeat away to Aberdeen.
Earlier this year Darvel knocked the Dons out of the Scottish Cup, Hearts and Hibs rattled in 11 goals in quick succession visiting Edinburgh.
Beale knows everyfing about everyfing, with Todd Cantwell, Nico Raskin and Malik Tillman in his side what could possibly go wrong?
Ten minutes into the second half Beale’s side were trailing 2-0 and the brains behind Steven Gerrard’s management team was on his own, struggling for solutions.
In at the sharp end Beale seemed clueless, off the bench he sent on Rabbi Matondo and in the 89th minute Scot Arfield.
All the sweet talking in the world, the fawning media coverage of the rookie boss was of no use as he watched his side crumble and fail.
Now Beale has to endure the most testing week of his career, if he fails on Sunday at Hampden he will have to go into full fire-fighting mode.
The suit jacket and trackie combo is no helping here.
Please tell me he’s not wearing brown brogues.— BM (@bmccaughan) April 23, 2023
He might not be wearing brown brogues but his boxers are certainly brown.
