Thomas Kerr has branded Celtic fans a disgrace, claiming that their anti-monarchy chanting at Hampden was unrepresentative of Glaswegians.

While the Tory list Councillor celebrates the spending of £350m for a day out in London thousands across Glasgow will rely on food banks this weekend to avoid going hungry.

During the second half of Celtic’s Hampden win over Kerr’s side there were a couple of chants from the majority of Celtic fans inside Hampden with shock-jocks like Jeremy Vine and Piers Morgan highlighting the song.

There was also a Nazi flag at Hampden which has largely gone uncommented on.

Polls have repeatedly shown that around 75% of Scottish people have no interest in Diana Spencer’s ex-husband getting a new hat but for no-marks like Kerr anything that can be used to highlight his right-wing Ibrox views is worth banging the drum over.

I think that it looks bad for the city, there was a very small minority who are very vocal and are ruining it for the rest of the city. Whether you support the monarchy, disagree or whatever, most people just want to come together.

I think that these people that do this sort of thing are disgraceful, it does have a negative impact on the city. You have people right through the United Kingdom talking about it. I wish these people would stay quiet, the vast majority of Glaswegians want to celebrate this historic event.

Councillor Kerr does know about tiny minorities, limping into the City Chambers with just 3,098 votes from Shettleston where SNP polled 12.160 and Labour 6,270.

Like most Tory politicians in Scotland he gets to claim expenses through the back door of Proportional Representation.

Celtic are the holders of the Coronation Cup, win in 1953 against Hibs when lo and behold all Hampden was covered in green white and gold. Jimmy McGrory’s side beat Arsenal and Manchester United to reach the final with Rangers losing to Manchester United in their only match. Aberdeen, Newcastle and Spurs also took part but there was no stopping the Coronation Celts.

Going by “Have I Got News For You,” last night a lot of people seem to agree with the Keltic (as Ian Hislop said) fans.

Weird how these very same people in relative positions of power never comment on the weekly chanting of racist and bigoted songs from a certain other support, is it because he is one of them or he is like the rest, fearful of the backlash from a support base that thinks nothing of threatening anyone who dare speak out against them.
Spineless and gutless just like the rest.

What a complete & utter melt. Another delusional unionist fawning like the subservient waste of space he is. The only embarrassment is Glaswegians being forced to food banks whilst these wannabe elitist imperialists get wined & dined on the tax payers money from the thousands that work AND still need food banks. Disgusting excuse for a human being! ????

Rather than actually doing something practical about the cost of living, this Tory is more interested in taking people’s minds of it. No wonder we are in the state we find ourselves in this country.
It’s proper policies that are needed – not distractions.

Everyone has the right to their opinions, but the Tory’s want you to suck up to theirs.
    No wonder they are detested.
If you want to watch the coronation, then watch it. However don’t inflict it on those who do not wish to.

Boris Johnson and his cronies secretly want rid of the tax succing royal fkrs, they also want to get rid of the Northern Irish clowns because of the financial cost.
